CREATION OF A NETWORK OF AMERICAN EXCHANGE PROGRAMS ALUMNI OF TAJIKISTAN

The National Association of Business Women of Tajikistan (NABWT), in coordination with the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, is launching a program to support and strengthen the U.S. Alumni Network of Tajikistan (USANT). The USANT program aims to bring together alumni of American exchange programs who will collaborate to help solve social and economic issues in Tajikistan through: mentorship, sharing experience, expertise, resources, information, innovative approaches to capacity building and implementation of joint initiatives.

The goal of the program is to Support and strengthen the U.S. Alumni Network of Tajikistan so that alumni can build upon the shared intellectual, social, cultural and democratic values ​​of the people of Tajikistan and the United States.

The objectives of the program:

1) Facilitate the creation of regional chapters (GBAO, Sughd, Khatlon and District of Republican Subordination);

2)Strengthen and engage the alumni community through online and face-to-face platforms where alumni will be able to communicate, interact, share and contribute;

3)Facilitate alumni mentorship program at the national level;

4)Organize alumni reunions and reconnect programs at the national level;

The long-term goal of the project is to create a sustainable network of alumni of U.S. programs, which will undertake joint activities at the global, regional and national levels.

Planned activities to be carried out as part of the program:

  • Signing of memorandums with project partners by region;
  • Preparation of a press release and announcement of the project in social networks and media;
  • Conducting information meetings with alumni and partners (GBAO, RRS, Sughd and Khatlon regions);
  • Creation of an online platform;
  • Holding a conference for graduates;
  • Conducting training on effective communications;
  • Conducting webinars on effective work for chapters;
  • Conducting training on facilitation and moderation;
  • Conducting training on writing applications and project management;
  • Conducting training on fundraising and resource mobilization;
  • Conducting 4 round tables in the regions.

NABWT invites all U.S. exchange program alumni and interested organizations to collaborate and jointly develop the network.
